After mentioning Betty’s Pies in several books, we couldn’t go another day without eating one. Lucky for us, Betty’s ships pies. It’s not cheap but a fun treat from time to time. This is a cherry cream pie. It’s delicious, but Alyce insists that the next pie be chocolate something or other. Some of the places in our books are fictional. Betty’s Pies is a real restaurant, although we think Betty may no long be there. The pies still are.
Sadly our old computer printer has passed away. It served us well, printed thousands of pages as we rewrote and rewrote. Fixing it will cost the same as a new printer. We called Milo’s computer guy, Ed Patupick, but he just said to buy a new one. The last we knew the printer was looking forward to printing endless pages of book eight, but then late today came the error code. The new one arrives on Tuesday.
The recorded version of “Old Murder, New Murder, Where Are The Cows?” is now available on iTunes, Audible, and Barnes and Noble. As always, it is narrated by the extremely talented Tom Lennon. More than seven hours of pure Milo.
When normal people rummage through an old farmhouse they find mice and cobwebs. Milo finds a dead body. Our seventh book, “Old Murder, New Murder, Where Are The Cows?” is now available on Amazon. If it doesn’t show up immediately, give Amazon a day or two and try again.
After years of avoiding personal appearances we have finally given into the throng of demanding readers. We will be appearing live and in person at the Johns Creek, Ga Literary Fair. We’re not quite the keynote author, nor the panel of other renowned award-winning authors. As the flier indicates you can engage with bestselling (still not us) and local authors. There we are!
We will be part of a two minute round robin of authors, along with meeting and greeting readers. We’ll also be hawking a few books.
The fair is Sunday October 1st from noon to 5 at the New Town Park Amphitheater in Johns Creek, Ga.
In book 7, Milo makes a ham sandwich. It sounded so good, I had to have one…or two. If you read of an author succumbing to ham sandwich poisoning blame Milo. Book 7 should be ready for publishing in October.
We have completed the second major rewrite of book seven and we’re beginning to like it. That’s always a good sign.
If you haven’t added your name to our email list yet, now would be a good time to do it. Just drop us an email at authors@dbelrogg.com. Of course it goes without saying, we will not bother you about your car warranty.
Our newest granddaughter, Charlie, delayed us a little bit (she’s so cute-our unbiased view), but we are back to working on Book Seven of the Milo Rathkey Mysteries. Who killed the woman in the unoccupied farm house? We have a good idea, but we’re not done yet.
Clues, Cash, Pieces of Murder is now available on Audible, iTunes, and Amazon. Narrated by the talented Tom Lennon, it’s Milo and the gang in your ears. Now on to book seven.
